Carissa asked me to DT for her and Im the dark side :) Steampunk balloon started from a hairnet that I found in the Subway parking lot and a paper mache Christmas ornament :)
I painted the ornament Copper and left part of it paper ,bagged it in the hairnet tied it with Shabby Scraps gray seam tape . Added clock charm ,glitter and put her wonderful flat back pearls on my glittered Tim Holtz gears that makes up the basket . Put metal gears with flat back pearls all around. Added a coffee tin butterfly and hooked it to the Balloon with these neat little pin hooks from Shabby scraps ,five to a side . Used the Black frame to house Tesla the electric man ,added glitter to and another flat back pearl that I painted with Tattered Angels glimmer Glaze .....Oh I so love the grungy world ! And last but not least added a ole time key to stabilize the balloon. This is my Christmas ornament dedicated to Tesla ...the real electric man .
